The study of the expression of human-feelings has been focused on the exchange of gifts, with emphasis on the gift-reward, the relationship between the exchange of gifts and the social structure and principles of exchange. In the present study, we investigate the human-feelings-expression of Hui which is one of the many minorities of China. Our objective is to uncover the content, means and functionalities of the social life customs (including the exchange of gifts) in the Chinese minority communities. From the study on the expression of Human-feelings of Hui community in the Gaocheng Village-the so called"old Shanxin Village", we find that the human-feelings-expression of Hui, not only is characterized by the common customs of helping each other, but also has its uniqueness. It is centered at the Mosque, extend and form a social network following the general custom principles of Islam, so as to help the development of the community.We shall first introduce the origin of the project, brief review the current study on human-feelings and then point out the objective, importance, scope and methodology applied on this project. In the next section, we shall discuss the origin of the Gaocheng Village, its Mosque and its social network in the community. In Chapter 3, we shall investigate the content of human-feelings of Gaocheng Village from point of view on life manners, religious activities, and holiday traditions. In Chapter 4, we shall discuss the means of expression of human-feelings. In Chapter 5, we shall focus on the role of folk-custom in the expression of human-feelings. In Chapter 6, we shall generalize the functionality of the expression of human-feelings in Gaocheng Village. We shall conclude the paper in Chapter 7.
