Research On The Development Of Container Transportation In Ningbo Inland Water

As an important component of the Shanghai international shipping center, Ningbo Port has made a great development of container transportation in recent years. However, there is not only big pressure on converged and dispersed transportation system but also surrounding environment. Transport by road only will be difficult to sustain. Inland container transportation will be the key to the solution of current problem.Based on container production forecast theory, we calculate the container throughput in Hangzhou-Ningbo Canal for the next 20 years. From the conclusion, we can see that with the inland container transport conditions improve, it would become an indispensable distributing means of Ningbo Port.As the pivotal part of synthesis transportation and the distribution centre of goods, ports play the most important role in the entire transportation system. Scientific and reasonable layout is the key to the health and continued development of inland container shipping. Based on the Fuzzy method, we get a more reasonable distribution of the port layout.The above research presents a development plan of inland container shipping system in Ningbo. It can be used for reference for a healthy and continued development of inland container shipping, and for a perfect gathering and evacuating transport system of Ningbo port.
