Based on the comprehensive use of economics, management, international trade and international competitiveness study , this thesis analyses Chinese food products to the international competitiveness of the status , production, consumption, prices and policy factors to seek the underlying causes behind the advantages and weaknesses, clarifies the position of Chinese food products in the international trade, put forward the strategy for China to participate the international competition.The logical sequence of this thesis is divided into five chapters. The introduction of clarifies the study background and significance of the research. Chapter 2 expounds the meaning of the international competitiveness of agriculture and the index used in this paper. Chapter 3 calculates the international market share, bilateral trade share index which reflects the competitiveness indicators according to the United Nations FAO website data. Chapter 4 comparatively analyses some factors which impacts the international competitiveness of Chinese food product. Chapter 5 is the part of policy suggestion.
