A Study On The Influence Of The Development Of Foreign Trade On The Upgrading Of The Industrial Structure In Beijing

There's a close relationship between the development of foreign trade and the upgrading of the industrial structure. Since the reform and opening up of China, the foreign trade in Beijing has surged, but at the same time, it faces the changes and adjusting of the industrial structure. This paper has studied the influence of the foreign trade development on the industrial structure upgrading. Firstly, it has reviewed the historical researches and studies on related topics. Secondly, it introduces the current situation of China's foreign trade and its industrial structure. Then the comparative changes of the industrial added-value are used to reflect the industrial structure. Regression models are adopted to study the influence of the foreign trade on the three industries. The conclusions are that the foreign trade in Beijing has the greatest influence on the upgrading of the Tertiary Industry, and the Primary Industry least. Finally, corresponding policy suggestions about the industrial structure upgrading of Beijing are provided from the point of foreign trade. Science-and–technology trade and the strategic exploration of foreign investment should be used to promote the optimization of the foreign trade commodity structure in order to bring up the upgrading of the industrial structure. Meanwhile, the Tertiary Industry should be promoted greatly.
