Research On Spatial Structure Optimization Of Tourist Destination System Of Yangtze River Delta

Economic globalization and regional economic integration has accelerated the regional tourism integration process. July 2003, "15+1" cities of Yangtze River Delta who signed the "Yangtze River Delta cities Cooperation Declaration" proposed to build the first barrier-free Trans-Provincial/Municipal tourism zone, build tourism economic circle of Yangtze River Delta and make it the world famous tourist destination.To rationalize the functional structure and enhance the competitiveness of the destination, this article analyzes the spatial structure of the destination from two angles which are macroscopic and microscopic by using multi-disciplinary research method. Chapter I gives the background and purpose of the study, and then proposes the research framework; Chapter II is to identify and assess the spatial constituent elements; Chapter III analyzes the existing spatial structure from tourism resources, city tourism, tourism traffic and source markets four aspects, concluded that the 4A class tourist resources in the region was condensed-type distribution, accompanied by significant seasonal differentiation, cities as regional tourist destination functions and source output functions are very different, there exists structural contradiction between supply and demand among the Tourism Corridor system, the geographical concentration in tourist market decreased year by year. Analysis shows that the destination cities within Yangtze River Delta are not balanced and the market demand diversified which provides a realistic and objective basis to optimize the structure. Based on this, the article gives a quantitative analysis to the relationship between tourism economy and urban economic, the result shows the tourism economy is very independent and we can adjust the spatial structure independently and make tourism economy become the new economic growth point, These provide the theoretical support to the spatial structure adjustment for the Yangtze River Delta destination system; After reviewing the related studies, this article presents theoretical basis and paths to the structural optimization (Chapter IV), and proposes the concrete strategy of the destination structure construction(Chapter V), Chapter VI is the conclusions to the whole article.The characteristics of this research are as follows: make non-balanced development city nodes as the basis of the structure construction, use interdisciplinary research methods to analyze the space structure of regional tourism destination, combine theoretical study with the existing regional tourism. Nevertheless, the analysis of the regional background is not enough, and only selected several major spatial elements to analyze the destination system. Therefore, the research on the regional background information will be very important. Furthermore, the analysis to the multi-factor which impact on the structural changes will be an important component of the further study.
