A Study On Urban Space Efficiency In Yangtze River Delta Based On The Perspective Of DEA

As the problems in urbanization appear and urban quality is declining, the research of urban space efficiency is becoming more and more important. This thesis measures urban space efficiency by DEA in Yangtze river delta quantitatively.Nowadays, there are few researches about the urban space efficiency, few people have introduced the efficiency to the concept in the study of urban space.This thesis is trying to combine urban space with efficiency. This thesis sets up a model of input and output of urban space efficiency, measures the urban space efficiency of the Yangtze river delta by DEA quantitativelty. Then this thesis reflects urban space efficiency from2002to2010in25cities by GIS intuitively. The performance of urban space efficiency of the Yangtze river delta is well and fluctuates in a high place. The difference between cities is shrinking. Jiangsu should pays attentions to the technical efficiency and Zhejiang should pays attentions to the scale efficiency. Because of a lack of investments of space, most of the citie failed to achieve optimal efficiency, so these cities should increase investments in space.Based on the research in this thesis, this paper analyzes the main factors affecting the urban space efficiency. At last, this article puts forward countermeasures for further development of the urban space efficiency of Yangtze river delta.
