| Current electricity market in China is open with the integrated monopoly system dismantled, thus electricity enterprises are confronted with various risks in operation and management. This paper introduces the concept of risk management to electricity enterprise. Basic concepts about risk, analytical methodologies, and management measures are formulated first. Major risks in electricity supply grid'terms are outlined: risks about electricity prices, risks about the volume of electricity consumption, risks about the quality of electricity, risks about security, risks about electricity price-charging, and risks brought by major consumers. Several mathematical models and quantitative data are employed to analyze and summarize these risks. Various risk management measures are figured out and discussed respectively to handle each risk. |
