An Study On Application Of Supply Chain Management In Guanshan Shipyard

The following ten years is a gold period for domestic shipbuilding industry to develop. As a major ship-repair enterprise in North China, GuanShan Shipyard has adjusted its product structure to develope shipbuilding business according to the market demand. Due to the optimistic ship building market and great support from CSIS, the order has arranged till 2007. The future is bright and the challenge is round and round. In front of all this, GuanShan shipyard should not be optimistic blindfold. The management in GuanShan Shipyard was always poor. With the business include ship repair and ship building quick develop, the bad affect of poor management is more and more outstand which will result in a"bottleneck". SCM is stand for a modern method in management which is compatible for Mode of ship building. It is worth to study about how to improve GuanShan Shipyard's competition power through practice SCM.Based on a deeply study in the trend of GuanShan Shipyard business and situation of management, the suggestion of practice Supply Chain Management in GuanShan shipyard was proposed in this paper, and it also provided a fundamental basis for performing SCM. First , the assay put forward an arrangement of SCM practice steps in GuanShan shipyard, and reconstructed organization and material-supply process that are compatible with SCM;secondly,on suppliers' selection, it attempted to get the process of supplier cluster by use of fuzzy analysis that could support the decision of supplier appointment;thirdly,it predicted the risk and consequence when performing SCM in GuanShan shipyard, and proposed some countermeasures for keeping the cooperative risk of suppliers away.The main objective of this paper is to provide GuanShan Shipyard a set of theory to follow when they practice SCM. At the same time, it may be could act as an example for other shipbuilding enterprise that need to practice SCM to reference.
