With the high speed of economic growth in China, more global companies enter into the county, brought with them the large operational scale, advanced techniques and management practices, as well as the fierce competition for the talents and market share. Usually a company may maintain a healthy employee turnover with an attrition rate below 10%, while company JBT has reached 28%. JBT targets to grow into 5000 employees by year 2008, competing with its peer companies in the market like HP, Accenture, IBM etc. To enable the aggressive growth, JBT needs to work hard to motivate its employees, empower them and align the business goal with employee personal development. The paper focuses on the motivation study in Company JBT. It leverages motivation related theory and modern Human Resources Management practices. It starts with an investigation and analysis on motivation level in JBT, the result indicates middle level, which is not adequate enough. Built on motivation theory and the above analysis, it proposes a complete plan of motivation system including: optimize current compensation structure; enrich job content; help with employees career planning; encourage employees participate in goals setting and policy making; improve employees skill-set etc.
