A Model For Measurement Of Enterprise's Knowledge Based On The Knowledge Structure Of Enterprise

The rise of knowledge economy is compared with a silent revolution, it is influencing or will influence each domain of the human economic society, the existing production method, the life style, the thinking mode and so on. Along with the development of knowledge economy, the knowledge, which is gradually substituting for traditional elements of production, becomes the factor that play a decisive role in the enterprise's development. It is widely accepted that knowledge is important to modern enterprise as a kind of captical, so the measurement and appraisal of knowledge captical is necessary to enterprise itself.The word of knowledge capital has complex meaning, intellectual property rights, intelligence property and knowledge property are frequently the same of knowledge capital. Because of no agreement of the enterprise's knowledge capital and different research point of views, the various methods occur in the quantization and measurement studying of knowledge captical. The research method of measuring knowledge is divided into two kinds on the whole: first, setting up concrete indexs then carrying on the measurement; second, measuring knowledge by non-index point of view. In the method of setting up indexs, indexs which adopted by different researchers are greatly different from each other, and they are all not perfect; the methods of non-index base on different study viewpoints, so the differences are more evident. But the purposes of both methods are the quantitative evaluation of knowledge so that the knowledge can be measured.The research goal of this paper is establishing a effective method for measruing enterprise knowledge, thus it can provide the basis and guidance for the implementation and appraisal of enterprise's knowledge management. On the basis of previous research, in the light of the features of enterprise's knowledge structure, we adopt the method of non-index measurement and Amrit Tiwana's theroy of growing stage to measure enterprise's knowledge. In the study, we introduce a new issue of redundant measuring which will be met in the process of knowledge measurement and present a model for measurement of enterprise's knowledge, then implement this model by programming. Also we depict how to measure enterprise's knowledge stocks, including classifying enterprise's knowledge, affirming weight of knowledge relation and knowledge quantification of leaf notes, giving the introduction of the software.
