Early from the mid 19th century, many Western economists had focused on Discrimination in the labor market. They tried to explore the reasons why the labor market discriminated against Blacks and women, and tried to give strong policy guidance. Comparatively speaking, Our research on Discrimination in the labor market laged behind. But the extent of discrimination was very prominent. Unfair treatment of rural employment, re-employment of laid-off workers of state-owned enterprises, gender-based discrimination, geographical discrimination, age discrimination, all of these discrimination is common in china's job market.Based on lots of research article from China or other foreign countries on Discrimination in the labor market, and based on the old northeast industrial base as a case study about laid-off workers from state-owned enterprises, here I made a depth analysis on the urgency and lasting impact about Discrimination in the labor market.Only through policy guidance, institution regulation, legislation and building an open and orderly labor market though whole nation, can we achieve the rational allocation of labor resources, achieve the true social justice and build a harmonious society.The innovation of this article was using a research method of the Institutional Economics on the discrimination in the labor market, redefining the reasons for the efficiency loss of the labor market.In an empirical analysis way , this paper gave the reasons why the existence of the large amount unemployment in our country. Meanwhile, analyzes the hazard of the phenomena.
