Facing the opportunity and challenge brought by the global economy integration, Xiamen, a city with unique geographic position and swift economic development trend, is committing itself to the development of modern logistics, in a bid to play an more active role in the logistics development of the regions. Air logistics is the important part of modern logistics. As for Xiamen International Airport Group Company(XIAGC), this is an uncommon developing opportunity. Since Xiamen Airport was open to navigation in 1983, Xiamen International Airport has developed into a group company with three airports ,14 subsidiary companies ,several billon-yuan assets after 23 years of development. How to make good use of this opportunity, integrate the resources of group company to increase the development strength of air cargo transportation, in a hope to secure new profit increase and sustainable competitiveness, is an important task of the group company when making strategic plan.The paper consists of 6 parts, among which are Preface, 4 chapters and the conclusion. Preface gives brief introduction on background and the issues to be discussed in this paper. Chapter One introduces the characteristics of air cargo transportation and the developing trend, the influence of modern logistics on air cargo transportation and the developing trend of international air logistics, the current status and analysis of Chinese air cargo transportation and aviation logistics developing status of Xiamen regions, indicating the necessity and essentiality for XIAGC to develop air cargo transportation. Chapter 2 uses analysis method of PEST and SWOT, analyzing the inner and outer factors for XIAGC to develop air cargo transportation, indicating the existing opportunities and challenges. Chapter 3 puts forward air cargo transportation development strategy of XIAGC. Chapter 4 expounds the main countermeasures and steps for XIAGC to implement air cargo transportation development strategy. In the end the conclusion concludes the whole paper.Basing on the study, the author believes that the development outlet of air cargo transportation of XIAGC is to change its mode to overall aviation logistics service provider. The particular measure is finding the key factors to success and perfect them gradually, developing air cargo transportation business basing on the construction of network, bringing into play the importance of logistics service network and providing value-added services, in a bid to establish stable customers'logistics service. Another way to improve our aviation logistics business by allying with those of the same trade, setting up a trans-industrial aliment or a specialized air cargo company, ceaselessly learning advanced management from the foreign counterparts.
