A Study On The Strategy Of Economic Development For Wujiaqu City, Division 6～(th), Xinjiang Production & Construction Group

Division 6th,Xinjiang Production & Construction Group(XPCG) ,is located in the Integrated Economic Region of Urumqi & Changji (Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture)(IERUC), The division is engaged in farm & animal husbandry for a long period of time, Agriculture is the primary part in its economic activities. The setting-up Wujiaqu city in 2004 brings unprecedented historic opportunity for Division 6th economy developments. It is great significant to take a research into the establishment of a suitable strategy in the just beginning of city's set-up. Not only will it benefit the realization of the potential advantages, but also it will benefit the formation new advantages. It will be an important guidance to the rapid economic development of the Wujianqu city, Division 6th.The thesis applies SWOT analysis to the condition of Wujianqu city, Division 6th , and compares horizontally with other cities in IERUC. Then it assesses the development level of Division 6th in the IERUC. The paper also makes a comprehensive evaluation to the stage of industrial development in Wujianqu city, Division 6th and puts forward the predominant industry currently, according to the relevant theories of district economics. Based on this research, the strategies of the economic development for Wujiaqu city Division 6th are put forward, which includes guiding thought, wishes, objectives and projects, the implementing measure and has made further discussion on the relationships needed to be handled.
