The Agglomeration Characteristics Of Corporation's R&D Facilities In Shanghai

With the era of knowledge economy and economy globalization coming, knowledge as an economy resource, its global diffusing and agglomeration in some region coexists. As the important carrier of knowledge, corporation's R&D facilities, begins to select location worldwidely, and agglomerates in some favorable places. Shanghai is the most important economic center in our country, having advantages in promoting R&D agglomerating. After ten more years practice, Shanghai obtains giant achievements, and establishes the foundation of international industry R&D center. The paper analyzes corporation's R&D facilities distribution and agglomeration, and further discusses the influences to agglomeration.The article is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, the definition of relative concept, background and the meanings, the progress of research at home and abroad, the clue of thoughts, methods and source of data are introduced.The second part discusses the foreign R&D and local R&D respectively, and then summarizes the Present characteristic of R&D.In chapter three, the author first arrange and analyze data collected by some software ex. Excel, Access and Mapinfo, discusses the distribution of R&D in Shanghai from three different aspects.The fourth chapter, in the basis of knowing the distribution, concludes the characteristics of R&D agglomeration, and then sums up the reasons of which causes the location characteristics.Finally, in chapter five, the author gives the conclusion of this paper and advances something of the article waiting for being perfect and something deserving for further research.
