Today there are more than ten million small and medium-sized enterprises in China. These enterprises play great roals in the development of China.Middle-level managers as bridges in these enterprises should not only have professional skills in their field ,but also have management ability.However,many middle-level managers are usually promoted from basic posts when they make great progesses in their basic posts .After promotion they are not trained management skills in time.So they have good professional skills ,but have no excellent management ability and they are scare of systematic managerial knowledge. That is what we called the Peter Principle.Many middle-level managers have no self-convince in their management jobs. Managerial Self-efficacy means the degree of management self-convince.Job satisfaction is getting more and more concerns in Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises.And many managers have low job satisfaction.There are different conclusions among ex-researches in the relationships between managerial Self-efficacy and job satisfactionThis article aims to discuss the relationship between managerial Self-efficacy and job satisfaction of the middle-level managers in the small and medium-sized enterprises.On the basis of summary on managerial Self-efficacy and job satisfaction, 13 hypotheses presented in this article are tested empirically through surveys distributed to 152 middle-level managers in small and medium-sized enterprises in Shandong province.Statistic analysis methods such as factor analysis,realibiliry analysis, independent samples test,correlate analysis and partial correlate analysis are performed in this article.After these analyses, the author drawes these conclusions: (1)MSE are not affected by gender, the degree of education, job experience and management experience. (2)Job satisfaction are not affected by the degree of education and management experience. Women have higher job satisfaction than men. Job experience have great effect on job satisfaction.(3)Positive relations are found between MSE and job satisfaction.(4)Gender,the degree of education,job experience and management experience have no effect on the positive relations between MSE and job satisfaction.At the end of the article ,study limitations and future research of MSE and job satisfaction on human resource management field such as recruitment, training and self-management teams are discussed.
