With the development of market economy and improvement of market system, the competition between corporations is very severe day by day. The core of competition is talent competition. Therefore, the position of HR management is much more important and performance management is a very key node in the chain of HR management. Because of important position of marketing staff in company business, it becomes more important how to manage their performance. How to upgrade the performance of marketing staff furthest is the main subject of many companies. Establishment of reasonable and effective performance management system, it can help to regulate the behavior of marketing staff, guide their action, improve their enthusiasm so that accelerate the objectives fulfillment of Company.Based on the definition and types of marketing staff and integrate the characters of software industry at the same time, we put forward the characteristics of marketing staff in software industry. Compare with the traditional industry, software industry belongs to knowledge denseness industries. The staff in software industry has their own specific characters. Therefore, the performance management in software is quite different with others. We expatiate on the abuses of existing performance management in detail through the deep analysis of performance management to a marketing man who has been working in ZC Company Shandong for many years. Based on this, we develop a set of performance management scheme for ZC Company. It consists of performance plan, performance fulfillment, management and feedback. It consists of also the implementation process and method. In the end, it brings forward the application proposal about this performance management scheme.During the scheme design, it integrates the current situation in ZC Company fully and spins off the traditional method of performance evaluation that is simply linked with sales and receivable account volume etc. Establish the new evaluation system that includes four aspects of performance, attitude, ability and potential. Create specific evaluation indicators to each aspect and determine the evaluation method. It makes very detail regulation and instruction to assessed person and assessment process. In this paper, it takes marketing department of ZC Company Shandong, which is a software corporation, as an example to do the performance evaluation design and implementation. The expectation is to form a complete system and be adopted in corporation. The purpose of study in this paper is to give some helps to performance management in relevant corporations, find some issues in organization and staff and improve their performance finally.
