Performance management is the core concept in modern human resource management. How to make the human resource management regulation plays its role, especially the establishment of scientific and effective performance management regulation, has an effective incentive effect to the employees. On the other hand, to establish a sound and effective performance management system, so as to meet the corporate need in her every development step and support the corporate to realize her development goals, is a major issue that every corporate needed to take it into consideration seriously in her development blueprint.However, lots of corporate only cares about the outcome of performance appraisal, and just makes it as reference when making important personnel decision. They can neither really use performance management system, which makes it a failure to deliver the organization goals, nor make performance appraisal outcome as evidence to make employees' development plan be in line with their abilities and competences. So, how to design an effective and scientific performance management system, so as to promote the smooth realization of core goals in performance management and create security conditions for the realization of the organizational goals, is the key point in performance management. Many domestic enterprises gradually introduce and implement performance management system and use it to appraise and coach employees in order to enhance their core competitiveness. But dilemma is that many enterprises inappropriate apply others' appropriate one and turned out to be a failure in their own development process, causing performance management not really to play the role in corporate management.The research of this paper was made based on the current development situation of an exclusively foreign-owned logistics forwarding enterprise named G. The author made the performance management system of company G as research object with performance management theory and related regulations as reference and made a deep survey on the status quo and main issues of performance management system in company G. Then the author combined the theory with the practice and took the present issues into consideration; and finally proposed detailed proposal on optimizing the performance management system so as to provide a positive reference on performance management for every enterprise in other industries.
