The negative effects brought by the rapid economic development drive people to explore one new economic development model to seek the"win-win"results of environmental protection and economic development. The idea of circular economy came into being, which was characterized by environment-friendly and source-saving. Circular economy model has been the main model of economic development at present and many scholars at home and abroad have also carried out a great deal of researches on its theories and application.As an effective tool for studying complex system, system dynamics mainly can also promote the construction and sustain its progress. It can get the system flowchart based on the related system parameters through defining the boundary of circular economy system and analyzing its internal causality, with forming the related system model and then forecasting the tendency of relevant variables. Therefore, the circular economy system can be evaluated and optimized. This thesis studies the circular economy system in Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Area (TEDA) in terms of system dynamics, mainly including the following content.Firstly, a brief overview of economic development in four phases in TEDA. This part analyzed the major characters of economic development in current stage and pointed the existing main problems, and then made the SWOT analysis for developing the circular economy in TEDA.Secondly, defining the boundary of circular economy system in TEDA by the related theories and research methods of system dynamics and dividing it into social, economic and environmental three sub-modules. By analyzing the internal relation among the sub-modules, the causality framework of circular economy in TEDA had also been constructed in this thesis.Thirdly, setting system variables and constructing dynamic simulation flowchart to determine the relevant functions and parameters and then establishing the system dynamic model of circular economy system in TEDA. At the same time, the model test can be continuously done by using the related data with the simulation and evaluation of its development tendency.Finally, thesis proposed the direction, strategic planning and optimization strategies of establishing a circular economy system in TEDA according to the characters and development tendency of circular economy construction in TEDA.
