Studies On Exploitation, Utilization And Protection Of Water-based Tourism In Huzhou

Locating on the edge of Tai lake and hinterland of Hangzhou-Jiaxin-Huzhou plain, Huzhou is rich in water-based tourism resources. On the contrary, domestic and foreign pertinent experts did not do sufficient researches on this type of tourism resources in Huzhou. To some extent, this has also restricted their reasonable utilization and effective protection.According to the National Standard of《Classification, Investigation and Evaluation of Tourism Resources》which promulgated and implemented on May 1, 2003, this thesis creatively did a comprehensively qualitative and quantitative analysis of waters scenery type tourism resources of the whole city from aspect of quantity, type, quality, characteristic and so on, and made the parallelism comparison to the similar resources of the other 10 cities in Zhejiang Province. The results demonstrated that waters scenery type tourism resources in Huzhou have the following characteristics. Their number is enormous, accounting for 6.4% of the total object number of the whole city. Their density is high, amounting to 1. 72 per 100 km~2 and ranking the third place in the whole province. There are comprehensively 4 subgroups and 8 fundamental types, amounting to 67% and 53% of that in the GB respectively. The number of the 5th level objects is listed the third in the whole province. According to their spatial distribution pattern and exploitation potentials, spatial development frame of "group star surrounds the bright moon, ray sparkles~1" was proposed. An overall image of "edge of Tai lake, beautiful area of Water villages in Southern Yangtze" was designed. Conceptual planning was made for some important tourism resources, such as Tai Lake, Canal, Tiaoxi, The City River of Huzhou, and so on. Simultaneously, the protection objects and measures were clarified. The environmental carrying capacity model of water-based scenic spots was constructed, taking Xiazhuhu Wetland Scenic Spot as an example.The exploitation and utilization of Huzhou waters-based tourism resources has broad space and prospect. If we taking the resources as the foundation, the market as the guidance, the project as the key point, the protection as a basis, fully bring into play the superiority of Tai Lake, Canal, Tiaoxi "three waters lead together" , it will certainly to be the "the top leader" of Huzhou tourism in future.
