Study On Xinjiang Urban System Of Oasis

After the development and construction in the late half of 20th century, Xinjiang has witnessed great changes in its local cities and towns. But compared with the developed regions in the east, Xinjiang urban is incomplete in scale, unbalanced development between cities and towns, and the proportion of the population imbalance. Except for some common characteristics to other provinces in China, urban development process in Xinjiang has also been impacted by oasis distribution, Minority settlements and the hinterland size for development, these factors require objectively for optimization of its urban system.The first defines the concept of local city and towns system. And then introducing research methods from China and abroad as well as the Xinjiang urban system . The second part make the revision of formation and evolution histroy of local city and towns , making analysis and the assessment of its changing history. At the third part , analysises the grading structure of Xinjiang cities and towns by using fractal theory. Making qualitative conclusion of functions and structure and spatial layout features of the Xinjiang oasis towns system. By using integrated evaluation the artical had evaluated the current situation of the development in Xinjiang major cities . Part IV has made evaluation of the Xinjiang city functions and industry development situation. In order to seek development in Xinjiang, we should re-creat urban function system and balance the mutual collaboration. Improve pyramid hierarchy towns structure. city's future potential momentums for development .it points out that Xinjiang should make full use of the land bridge of Eurasian Continental Bridge ,economy, targeting Central Asian market to improve Xinjiang's economic by taping of export-oriented markets . Fifth part has proposed the configuration and perspective of urban systems in Xinjiang. Final is the confirmation and establishment of the functional big cities in Xinjiang and some advices on the development methods.The article analyzes advantage and disadvantage factors in the development of Xinjiang oasis small cities and towns development, and proposing the updated of the urban vision accordingly, which is suitable for Xinjiang local city and town's system construction .This is also valuable for references to study and design of local cities and town's urban system to some degree.
