Research Of Competency Model Of Space Technologists

This research tries to found a competency model of space technologists, importance of each aspect of the competency model, and the quantified difference on competency aspect of technologists engaged in different technical jobs.This research founds competency model based on survey data and interviews. 20 outstanding technical employees from Academy of A Technology participated in the interview. Both the aspects' importance of the competency model and the aspects' quantification differences of different technologists were deduced by investigation and factor analysis, a total of 270 technical employees who come from Academy of A Technology completed the questionnaires.Results indicated: first, the competency model of space technologists includes the system thought and team work, competency of solving problems, professional technical ability, personal character, creativity and sense of responsibility. Second, the importance degree of the competency model's each aspect is composed of 21 percent of the systematic thought and team work, 20 percent of competency of solving problems, 19 percent of professional technical ability, 18 percent of personal character, 15 percent of creativity, 7 percent of sense of responsibility. Third, the main difference of two technical systems in each aspect's of the competency model is that comparing with system 2, system 1 focuses more on the system thought and team work, competency of solving problems, creativity and the sense of responsibility. Compared with system 1, system 2 focuses more on the personnel character. System 1 gives almost the same attention as system 2 on the professional technical ability.
