A Study On The International Industrial Cooperation Under The Background Of Regional Economic Integration

Regional economic integration already becomes a universal phenomenon. As facing the great challenge of globalization, most countries have participated in at least one regional economic organization, for the purpose of achieving industrial optimization and economic growth by closer economic cooperation under the Free Trade Area Arrangement than that under the WTO multilateral frames. The essence of regional economic cooperation, however, is the comprehensive cooperation on three major industries among the area member states. Therefore this dissertation aims at studying on the issue of international industrial cooperation under the background of regional economic integration.The paper mainly includes four sections. Firstly, account for the conception, characteristic and significance of regional industrial cooperation, which is defined as the comprehensive cooperation that taking enterprise as the foundation, industry as the content and government as the leading factor. Secondly, analyze the intrinsic power mechanism (market mechanism) and the initiative organization mechanism (government mechanism) of regional industrial cooperation, with the point of view that the government mechanism, which is carried by the area-coordinated industrial policy, is mainly for creating a fair & orderly competitive environment for all member states, only in this way can the market mechanism play its role more efficiently. Thirdly, research empirically on the industrial cooperation practices of three representative regional economic organizations (EU,NAFTA,CAFTA). Last, summarize respective characteristics of those three regional economic blocs' industrial cooperation, and put forward own policy proposal on how to participate actively in international industrial cooperation on the platform of regional economic integration so as to accelerating our national industry optimization and promotion.
