But the fossil energy is non-renewable, According to the material demonstrated, in the middle of this century, the petroleum will lose its using value because of mining excessively. The traditional fuel oil automobile is the petroleum's biggest consumer. The automobile number measures the sharp growth at present; to seek the new substitution energy is the most urgent matter. Traditional fuel oil automobile not only use lots of resources, but also discharges the noxious gas. Our environment which keeps us to live had been polluted seriously. Besides, the increasing number of automobile makes the traffic condition worse and worse in big cities. This article embarks from the angle of our country's energy security strategy and the improvement of the environment quality, introduces the basic knowledge of HEV, FCEV, BEV, and also introduces the present domestic and foreign correlated researches and tendencies, with Wuhan's own characteristic such as economy, transportation condition as well as the future developing plan, and so on, to make energy-conservate&environmental-protect vehicle industry develop in Wuhan.The research technique of this article is unifies the existing data material and the technological development tendency, through rational analysis and extrapolation, to make a expectation and elaboration, under the background of Wuhan's traffic condition in the future, to foresee the developing trend of design of energy-conservate&environmental-protect vehicle in Wuhan.In elaboration process, there are three stages of the development: the near future (2007～2012), intermediate stage (2012～2020), future (2020～) .There are different plans in different stages in considering of the development key, policy support, laws and regulations making, infrastructure construction, industry structure adjustment, resident's propaganda education.The developing trend of the energy-conservate&environmental-protect vehicle in Wuhan is: systematic design, small and nimble, renewable, safe and comfortable, intelligent and multi-function.
