| Along with the opening of our country finance industry, the competition betweeninternal commerce bank and the foreign commercial bank will certainly intensely,analyzing the present efficiency situation about China and the foreign commercial banksobjectively, which is important for us to improve the bank efficiency strategy.This article is based on the conceptual analysis of commercial bank efficiency and theefficiency analysis method comparison, carries on the application data envelope analysismethod to appraise the efficiency about 10 domestic banks and 6 foreign banks of.2003-2005 year. The result showed that, our country commercial bank's efficiency valueis lower than the foreign bank, and emerging joint stock system bank efficiency value ishigher than four great national banks.
