As speedy growth of domestic insurance market and change of external regulatory policy, the management style of the insurer comes from dispersal into centralization. Problems of information isolated and software develop are emerging. It has become a critical strategy to plan and design new generation core business system for CPPIC and other domestic insurance company.This thesis introduce the basic business environment and circumstances of domestic insurance marketing and current insurance information system of CPPIC. Also from the point of view of the changing business requirement, this thesis analyzed the inevitable problems arising from the core business systems architecture, and as an inevitable consequence, the system architecture is hard to adapt to new business requirement.Secondly, This thesis gives a brief introduction of the application environment and features of international advanced core insurance system and IAA ( Insurance Application Architecture) of IBM. The thesis also offered a gap analysis of system architecture at home and abroad. The thesis pointed out that we need to absorb advanced experience as reference when designing and planing new application system.The thesis is to analyze the gap of core system at home and abroad describe the design objective application architecture and technical architecture of new generation core system, discuss and analyze the main problems met in system implementation, and also discuss some issues about project management.The conclusion is that CPIC new core system should be a centralized and customer-oriented system with product and process engine, which is built on J2EE platform.
