In the new century, "comprehensively building a well-off society" is of great strategic goal. the coordinated development of regional economy in China will no doubt become the macroeconomic agenda. "Great Western Development" Despite initial success, but there are many desired; "Revitalization of old industrial bases in northeast China," although he also has been implemented. However, the gap between the regional economic effect is not apparent narrowing. Therefore, the study of regional economic development imbalances, it is particularly important.From the content, the paper is divided into four main parts : the first part, briefly explain the theory of regional economic development is uneven preparation. The author defines the concept of regional economic development is uneven and the meaning of a coordinated regional economic development indicators and analysis system. The second part is mainly non-equilibrium theory of regional economic development for a brief description and evaluation Myrdal, including the cumulative cycle causal theory, Azat growth and the theory of balanced growth theory, Hirschman, Friedman, the center-periphery theory Williams of the inverted "U" curve hypothesis. Part III discussed the current situation of China's economic development is uneven, and analysis of the reasons for forming this situation.
