| Technology progress of a country comes from two approaches: one is independent innovation of technology, and the other is technology diffusion. Technological innovation and technology diffusion can speed up the development of a country's economy, science and technology, which has become the basic trend of international economy development. However, being followers of technology,the technology diffusion has been the principal approach to acquire technology progress and economy growth of the developing countries and regions. During the process of technology diffusion, the origin, receiver and channels of technology diffusion form a technological space, in which there are some spatial factors such as geographical distance, potential energy difference of technology, proximity and cluster. Those factors make technology diffusion have the obvious spatial spillover effect. As the forthgoner of economy development and the main area of utilizing international technology diffusion in China, the eastern area represents China in the level of technology and capability of technology innovation, and it can lead the whole country to achieve development of economy and technology. Its Therefore, it is the realistic problem that how to maximize the effect of spatial spillover. Firstly, the article reviews the domestic and foreign documents about technology diffusion; Secondly, the article elaborates the theory, model and the influencing mechanism of the spatial factors; Thirdly, by taking the seven provinces of the east of China as the samples, the article studies the influence of Korean and Japanese FDI on the technology progress of the east, which proves the existence of spatial spillover effect of technology diffusion; Finally, in order to make good use of technology diffusion, overcome the negative influence of spatial factors on spillover effect and achieve the technology progress, the article puts forward some feasible advice for the east of China. |
