Study On Urban Economy's Spatial Relevancy And Spillover Effect Of Zhejiang Province

Urban economy is an important research hotspot of regional economics,it plays an increasingly important role in regional economic development.For experienced the rapid development of Zhejiang Province,it need urgent the economic transition to inject new vitality into regional economic growth.Urban economic growth is driven by factors,technical improvement and institutional change.In the context of free flow of elements and regional association,only considering the factors which restricts economic growth from the inner region,ignoring the spatial correlation or spatial heterogeneity,may lead to biased estimates of the influencing factors.So based on the perspective of spatial economy,discussing the spatial heterogeneity and spatial spillover effect is beneficial to improvement of the city development dilemma,reconstruction of city development system,development of new space,and promotion of the economic transformation has important significance.In this paper,based on the regional economic externality theory,the gradient transfer theory and regional economic growth theory,using city's panel data from 1978 to 2014 year of Zhejiang Province,it measures the spatial correlation of urban economy about Zhejiang Province with the help of Geo Da software,including the global spatial autocorrelation of Moran 'I index and local autocorrelation Moran I index analysis.Further,based on spatial Durbin model,this paper analyses the spatial spillover effect of transport infrastructure and other factors with the method of the empirical test,including dividing into adjacency matrix and geographical distance matrix,and further decomposes spatial spillover effect,analyses the direct effect,indirect effect factors and spatial spillover effect in-depth.Through theoretical and empirical analysis,this paper found that:(1)Moran'I global index is significantly positive in 1978-2014,city economic of Zhejiang province shows significantly positive spatial correlation,the phenomenon of spatial agglomeration is very markedly,high(low)area of economic development level is adjacent to each other or closer.(2)the phenomenon of North and South differentiation characteristics is obvious of high and low agglomeration about urban economy.(3)It is consistent with the classical growth model that a regional economy will not develop without its the input of elements.The spatial spillover effect of traffic infrastructure is significantly positive,and this spillover effect is transmitted between the region and surrounding areas.The impact of industrial upgrading on economic growth in the surrounding areas is not significant.(4)Economic growth in the surrounding areas can promote economic development in the region,including direct and indirect effects.This spillover effect is not only caused by neighboring cities,but also in the non adjacent citiesFinally,the paper puts forward that we should attach importance to the spatial autocorrelation of urban economic development in Zhejiang province.Under the premise of fully understanding the spatial correlation,we should play the spillover effect of different channels and promote the coordinated development of regional economy.
