The Investigation And Study On The Diet Custom Of The Rites Of Passage In Bobai Hakka

Hakka in our country are always gather in the region of the border on the province of Min,Yue,Gan ,where the scholars at home and abroad focused on .The scholars expounded and analysed above regions from different angles and orders in the past, but they payed a little attention to Guangxi Hakka which locate on the verge of the gathering of Hakka , rarely did the study of the diet culture discuss.Therefore,the present paper selected a Hakka village which lies in Longtan town of Bobai county in Guangxi as the study object ,taked the rites of passage as the study backgroung and definited the diet custom which was a part activity of the rites of passage as the study range of vision ,regarded the diet in the rites of passage as a culture symbol and mediation chain.The paper attempted to investigate the present diet custom in the rites of passage in Hakka and finded out the symbolic meanings and the expression ways about the leading role and the other members which were links to the leading role ,displayed the mutual relationship of the society group in Hakka around the banquets of the rites of passage ,revealed value concept ,aesthetic sentiment and social function which the diet custom of the rites of passage contained.The full text divide into four parts ,the foreward combed the study present situation of Hakka, the rites of passage ,the diet ,expounded the study origin and pointed out the traits of thought and techniques.The first part detailed description the nature and society background about the investigation area,narrated the condition and common order of the rites of passage in modern,analysed the universal relations about the diet and the rites of passage;The second part expounded the symbolic meaning of the diet custom about the leading role in the rites of passage ,specifically discussed the expression ways of the diet symbol ;The third part set about from the contexts,cuisines,rites in banquet.On the one hand,taked variety of cuisines and rites as intuitional texts and analysed its features, on the other hand deviated to inquire the diet culture movents description namely inheritance of cook skills and origanization of banquets, summarized culture meanings about the diet custom of the banquet.The four part concretely clarified the society function of the diet in the rites of passage which contains the strengthed shift and acknowledge of the society role,intensification the people's relations,communication with people and gods,displayed mental ideas and notions about Hakka in the Da'an village through the diet activity of the leading role ,mass ,gods in the rites of passage.The author thought historic accumulation and living creation continuously untied and constructed the diet custom in the rites of passage in Da'an village.The Da'an who have intelligence and creativity showed the tactics and logic about local living ,manifested the value trendency about local culture,caused the diet custom in the rites of passage to the Hakka life indispensable important constiuent.
