A Research On The Economic Cooperation Of Xiangyue Based On Pan-Pearl River Delta

After we entered the 21 century, the regional economic cooperation more and more becomes the trend of global regional economic development. The contents and forms of regional economic cooperation are more and more abundant and diversified. Many nations and areas have already joined one or more economic cooperation organizations. In order to satisfy the demand of the age and regional economic development, Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) which was launched and leaded by the government of Guangdong formed in early 2003. Thus create a new pattern of China's regional economic development in the new era. Pan-Pearl River Delta has already gained a lot of fruits since 2003. As the main members, Xiangyue's economic cooperation will appear the new scene. Thus, on ground of the theory of regional economic cooperation, this paper deeply analyses and researches on Xiangyue's economic cooperation.In order to provide theoretical basis and experience for Xiangyue's economic cooperation, this article first briefly comments on the theory of regional economic cooperation and the cooperation model and then analyses domestic and foreign successful cases about the regional economic cooperation. Second, the dissertation simply analyzes the Pan-Pearl River Delta in order to displays the given background of Xiangyue's economic cooperation. And then, under this background, the essay probes into the meaning of Xiangyue's economic cooperation, compares the economic present condition of Hunan province with Guangdong province and demonstrates the advantages and the disadvantages of their cooperation. Base on the theoretical research and case study above mentioned, the paper brings up the target of Xiangyue's economic cooperation. The target is that Hunan province need try to become the logistics platform and the manufacturing cluster area which connects Xiangyue and PPRD with North China and Central China. Also Uunan should be the place where supplies the agricultural products for Guangdong's residents and traveling resources for residents of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. Guangdong need try its best to be the export base and sea production base of Xiangyue and the financial center, modern service industry center, innovation base and seashore scenic spot for tourists of PPRD. the author thinks that the strategic points of the Xiangyue's economic cooperation should be three belts along the Jingguang railway, Luozhan railway, Jiaoliu-Xiangqian-Luozhan railway in Hunan and Guangdong provinces. In order to realize the target of the Xiangyue economic cooperation, the author thinks that Hunan and Guangdong should do their best to establish the public service platform of economic cooperation and develop the three strategic belts. At last, the paper puts forward some measures and suggestions to establish the public service platform of economic cooperation and develop the three strategic belts.
