| At present,with the development of economic globalization and regional economic integration,regional economic cooperation has become an important means for countries and regions to develop local economies.In the context of regional economic cooperation,in order to seek complementarity in inter-regional economic development,deepen inter-industry cooperation,narrow regional differences,and achieve regional coordinated development,in 2003,Guangdong Province proposed the concept of regional economic cooperation in the"Pan-Pearl River Delta".The cooperation in the Pearl Region has been comprehensively upgraded to a national strategy,and the comprehensive competitiveness of the region has been significantly improved.A regional coordinated development system has been initially established.Innovation can reflect the comprehensive strength of a country or region,not only can promote economic growth,but also an important reason for companies to maintain their vitality.In 2015,in the basic policy of."Made in China 2025",the innovation drive was ranked first,and the innovation and development of manufacturing industry was imperative.Studying the impact of regional economic cooperation strategy on the innovation performance of manufacturing industry has important theoretical and practical significance for accelerating the innovation and development of China's manufacturing industry.This paper takes the influence of regional economic cooperation on the innovation performance of manufacturing industry as the research object,and explores the role of regional economic cooperation in marketization and institutional quality in manufacturing innovation performance.Firstly,the paper systematically combs the literatures on regional economic cooperation and manufacturing innovation at home and abroad,and then expounds the status of economic cooperation in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region from three aspects:government cooperation,industrial cooperation and transportation cooperation.Innovative performance analyzes the status quo of manufacturing innovation in two aspects.Next,this paper describes the theoretical basis and research hypothesis of the impact of the Pan-Pearl River Delta regional economic cooperation on manufacturing innovation performance.On this basis,the provincial panel data is selected,and the double diff-erence method is used to study the effect of the Pan-Pearl River Delta regional economic cooperation on the innovation performance of the manufacturing industry,and the role of regional economic cooperation in the marketization and institutional quality of manufacturing innovation.The empirical results show that the Pan-Zhuhai regional economic cooperation can promote the innovation performance of the manufacturing industry;and the promotion effect is highly dependent on the marketization effect.The higher the degree of marketization,the more obvious the effect of regional economic cooperation on the innovation performance of manufacturing industry;The effect on the innovation performance of manufacturing industry also depends on the quality of local institutions.The higher the quality of the system,the stronger the effect of regional economic cooperation.Based on this,the countermeasures proposed in this paper:the Pan-Pearl River Delta region should continue the marketization process,let the market become the main body of resource allocation;optimize the innovation environment,establish a good and healthy relationship between government and enterprises;strengthen personnel training,encourage talents to introduce,and serve the regional economy.Cooperation creates good environmental conditions,thus accelerating innovation in the manufacturing industry in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region. |
