The contribution of higher tourism education to the tourismindustry, especially on the undergraduate stage, keepslingering at a low level. The lower rate of employment withtourism management graduates and the higher rate of running offunceasingly perplex higher tourism education.Based on the analysis of the background of tourismeducation, this paper analyzes the different stages and chainsof higher tourism education, with an attempt to construct anon-homogeneous education model beneficial to the perfectionof tourism education, the comprehensive and sound developmentof tourism industry as well as the realization of values oftourism graduates. It may also help to alter the embarrassingsituation of the lower rate of employment and the higher rateof running off.Four parts are included in this paper. In the first part,the preface and probe to the comprehensive research arepresented and research background, study development, researchsignificance, research technical routes are also brieflyelaborated. In the second part, some vital concepts are defined.In the third part, a pedagogical study is conducted on thequestionnaire investigation. In the fourth part, acomprehensive non-homogenous model of higher tourism educationand corresponding guaranteeing system are put forward.With the comprehensive analysis of documents and thepedagogical study as the main researching methods, a non-homogenous model of higher tourism education is put forwardto meet the diversifying requirements for tourism talents.The accomplishment of a non-homogenous model of higher tourismeducation is dependent on the establishment of non-homogenouscultivation targets, mechanism and inspection as well as thenon-homogenous output of tourism talents.
