Research On The Relationship Between Energy Consumption And Energy Security In China

The situation of China's energy security is urgent nowadays. This is the result of the energy consumption in China is increasing rapidly.This paper analyzes and forecasts the energy consumption in China by Grey Dynamic Model (1.1).The importance of energy consumption research to the Energy Security is explained. It is considered that the higher Energy Intensity causes the energy consumption in China to rapidly increase. This thesis analyses the influence of the three factors: the industrialized level, Factors of Economic and Technical, Energy Price on the energy intensity by Grey Relevant analysis, and get the result that the industrialized level is the most influential factor, the energy price is the less influential factor. The industrialization has been a remarkably time-lagged on the energy intensity. Another reason why our energy consumption grows rapidly lies in the rapid growth of energy consumption with the GDP accumulation and residential living standards' improvement. The researcher forecasts the energy consumption through Grey Dynamic Model (1.1). And after analyzing the influential factors of energy consumption of urban households and rural residents, the author concludes that climate is the most influential factor of energy consumption, and residents' income is the second one. Then, the researcher gives descriptive analyses and some suggestions of energy consumption in China. In the end, the author states the proportion of oil in China's energy consumption, the so-called alternative energy problem.
