From Comparative Advantage To Competitive Advantage

Comparative advantage theory was formed in 18-19 century, and in a long time it's the foundation theory under the open economy condition in international trade. However, in modern times especially after World War II, in the international market many phenomenons have been appeared which the traditional comparative advantage theory is unable to explain. New phenomenon also trigger reconsidering to traditional trade theory, particularly in developing countries, and request the economists make essential development to the traditional theory, to entrust the comparative advantage with new connotation under the new economic society condition, thus extends and instructs the economic activity practice with the scientific theory. Therefore, nowadays, economists have researched on the comparative advantage theory and developed the comparative advantage, and have advanced the theory of competitive advantage.Since the reform and open of China, by right of superiority of the cheep labor force and the rich natural resource we have obtained the enormous success in the international trade. But along with the development of the economy, the comparative advantage our country industry depends on is attenuating unceasingly. In this situation, how should the industry challenge this problem has already become the realistic question which we have to face. This article attenuate the influence the pattern of outward economy brought to our country on the comprehensive, rationally analyzes our country foreign trade present situation analysis, and put forward the proposal on our country foreign trade development strategy.
