Presently seen from the practice of enterprise management, enterprises are facing a serious survival problem. On the one hand, along with the advancement of science and technology, with the accelerating process of one world large market, with the coming of excellent foreign enterprises, the market is far more risky and competitive than it was. It requires enterprises having more invigorative viability; On the other hand, in the process of the transition of the highly centralized national planning economy to the competitive market economy, enterprise are thrown into the survival-of-the-fittest risky market, to which the old values, customs and management models are not so well accustomed. Not being ware of the risk dimension of market economy, not understanding the dilemma rules of enterprise, and so on, are likely leading the enterprise to the dilemma of management, even worse to close down or bankruptcy. There may be many factors leading enterprise into management dilemma, but main reason for enterprise adversity is that our enterprises lack an institution to make enterprise adapt the change of environment and the function self-organization. Therefore, it is impending to build the early-warning management system of enterprise for supervising, diagnosing, controlling, correcting the adversity. This method may strengthen the immunity of enterprise.Since the mid 1980's, crisis management signed with the establishment of the enterprises crisis management system in American MNEs has come to the mature stage and taken an important position step by step in the enterprises'management system. During this period, quite a number of enterprises have managed to find out a packet of rules and methods to cope effectively with crises and adopted"crisis management"inside the enterprise. Management circle in the west react positively to the coming wave of crisis management from the field of business, and discuss in a wide range from the theoretical perspective. Some even claim that enterprises have come into the era of crisis management. However, presently researchers focus on the tactical problems of how to cope with and how to free from the crises after they took place. This theory puts emphasis on the firm's crises, studies the direct causes of the crises and countermoves to deal with crises. However, general theories of crises management concentrate on the enterprises in the situation of crises. It's therefore that they can't give clear and definite research themes about the internal relationship between the enterprise's crisis situation and common situation as well as the evolution rule. So it's difficult for them to discover the causes of the enterprise's crises completely and systematically as well as how to take effective measures to prevent the crises from happening, which is the exact theme of the crises management theory.In order to reveal the rules of enterprise adversity and build the safety mechanism of enterprise, this dissertation analyzes and generalizes all kinds of undesirable behaviors of enterprise. This paper focuses on building an index system of evaluation of enterprise adversity. In the end, the paper takes a factory as a demonstration analysis.
