Present Situation And Countermeasures Of Cotton Transportation In Xinjiang

Xinjiang is the main cotton producing area in China, from which the 1/3 of the total annual national cotton production comes at present. Along with the structure adjustment of agricultural production, the ratio of Xinjiang cotton in raw material supply of textile industry in our country will be increase . The industry will also be filled up with Xinjiang cotton when there occurs lack of cotton supply in inner provinces. But the geographical position and the transportation condition of Xinjiang has been presenting great restriction to the cotton transportation and, due to the insufficient transportation power the normal supply of the cotton to the textile enterprises of inner provinces has been influenced. Therefore, the solution which Xinjiang cotton transporting to inner provinces will be not only the necessary measures that carrying through the exploitation of western area, at the same time, it will be also the required condition for perfecting the market macro-control of cotton .According to the export situation of textile products nowadays, our country will be faced to a cotton shortage crisis in coming future and the massive imports will be needed. Therefore, the direct and most effective measures should be adopted ,such as strengthening the national policy supports to the cotton industry ,expanding cotton planting land, increasing the transportation quantity of Xinjiang cotton to inner provinces, reducing the risk of importing cotton. Due to the emphasis on production quantity of cotton and ignoring the cotton transportation for a long time periods, Based on the spot research and extensive collection of statistical material, this paper processes some researches deeply on outward transportation of Xinjiang cotton and puts forward some corresponding counter-measures and suggestion. Aiming at the present situation of outward transportation of Xinjiang cotton, the existing factors of outward transportation and its characteristic, by analyzing and researching problems existed during outward transportation of Xinjiang cotton, and according to the development of transport target and emphases of Xinjiang during"eleventh-five year"plan of Autonomous Region, this paper brings forward the viewpoint which transporting the cotton by a special vehicle; this paper also discusses the reasonable distribution of the work and the selection of the route, and calculates transport costs and transport profit of the traffic road.
