Cotton is considered as an important raw material of cotton textile production.In recently years,with China's domestic demand and export growth,cotton textile production has been also increased strongly.At the same time,State council issued planning about adjusting the logistics industry has pointed out that strengthen the construction of modern cotton logistics industry as soon as possible,this greatly promoted the development of Chinese cotton.Demand of cotton grows bigger and bigger recently,Xinjiang as one of the greatest cotton-producing province of China,the logistics industry development has a lot of differences between inland areas.In the whole logistics operation system,logistic center is the bridge connecting the supplier and demand,and plays a vital role.Lack of reasonable logistics distribution center has become one important factor which restricted the development of Xinjiang inland logistics,also considered as waste of resources.We illustrated the theories of logistics distribution network and distribution center location firstly,and then also illustrated the conception and characteristic of cotton logistics;Secondly we expounded the situation and existing problems of Xinjiang cotton logistics,and discussed the cotton logistics center location problems;According to the importance of the distribution center's location,we analyzed the method of logistics center location theoretically.Selected Baumol-Wolfe model as one model for selecting in this article.In the actual situation of Xinjiang Alaer city for example,by Baumol-Wolfe model,calculated,made a rational planning of logistics distribution center location,in order to improve the logistics development of Xinjiang.
