As one of China's main grain production area, Northeast of China is the most important base of grain production for a long time. Mollisols region is the main body to grain production of northeastern China. So it is very important to keep the comprehensive grain productivity of Mollisols region both for Northeastern China's agriculture and China's grain security. On the one hand, the output of Mollisols region's grain production may not meet demand with the sustaining increasing of grain demand. On the other hand, it is not easy to improve the comprehensive grain productivity because of pollution issue. Based on these problems, it is necessary to carry on the associated problem about the comprehensive grain productivity of Mollisols region.On the foundation of detailed analyzing to the main constructing factors of comprehensive grain productivity, this paper try to find out the effect way to increase yield and present some good policy advice on how to improve comprehensive grain productivity of Mollisols region.According to changing trend of grain production durning the time interval from 1980 to 2004, this paper analyses the main construction factors of comprehensive grain productivity and set the numberable criteria for each factor. Then, based on above work, the paper carried on some more research as follows:Firstly, the index system is set to weigh grain productivity using of Factor Analysis. Secondly, three methods are used to evaluate the contributing rate of each factor to increase yield. Thirdly, combing with technologic efficiency and grain structure based on county scale, the changing trend of grain structure and the potential of output increasing are estimated.Three conclusions can be drawed on the base of above research:Firstly, without considering the policy factor, the comprehensive productivity of Mollisols region is made up of four main facets: factors input, sci-technology support, natural calamity and natural resources fundation which rank the order as the important degree to affect grain production.Secondly, the capacity of factors is effected mainly by labor and crop area, the yield is increased with the increasing in labor and crop area. As for technology applying, irrigation and labor quality are two main factors. Increasing irrigation rate and improving the farmers' ability to manage farmland can obviously increase yield. Drought is the main calamity to affect grain production. According to production potential based in the optical temperature, the actual yield is about 20-30 percent of the theoretic yield, so there is great potencial productivity between them.Thirdly, there is a transferring trend from high-yield area to high-technology efficiency area in grain production. Adjusting the crop structure and expanding the crop area of high-technology efficiency can increase yield remarkably.The policy application is as fowlows: increasing TE to increase the comprehensive productivity of northeastern China; strengthening farmers' training, spreading applying technology, constructing agricultural infrastructure and improving the mechanization level of fields.Three creative points of this composition are Factor analysis model providing theorial base for the research on comprehensive productivity, TE loss model for the studing on sci-tech support and the compared pictures with ArcView GIS3.2 which reveal the trend of grains' distribution.
