Research On Function Of Science And Technology Advance From The Angle Of Building A Well-off Society In An All-round Way

Modern science&technology(S&T) has been playing an increasingly important role in the development of economy, politics and culture, and therefore, it becomes a powerful impetus in the advancement of human society and civilization. Building a well-off society in an all-round way is an integrated goal which combines the full development of economy, politics and culture. To achieve this grand goal is largely dependent on the advancement of S&T. This paper discusses the function of S&T advance from the angle of building a well-off society in an all-round way. This paper regards Marxism theory as guidelines, summarizes the thesis of Marxism on the relationship between S&T and economy, politics and culture respectively, and induces the valuable experience of Marxism on the relationship between S&T and social development. This paper not only explains the positive effects of S&T to economy, politics and culture but also examines the restriction and influence of economy, politics and culture to the advancement of S&T. At the same time, this paper puts forward the mutual action system and optimization between society and S&T. On the basis of discussion mentioned above, how to avoid side-effects brought by S&T is also studied . The author proposes that S&T advance must base on the principle of'People First'and take the road of developing Green S&T. Of course, it is necessary to build harmonious system of technological ethics as to realize the coupling between S&T advance and the view of scientific development.
