| The developed countries are putting more and more emphasis on the issues of environment protection and energy. The regulations on electronic products have been carried out in resent years, which are named"Green Environment-friendly regulations". The regulations have formed another kind of non-tariff trade barrier. The emerging of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment(WEEE) and Restriction of certain Hazardous Substance (RoHS) in EU has a significant effect on IT industry of Taiwan. The products which fail to follow the standards of WEEE and RoHS will never be imported to the member states of EU.。The influence will even be enlarged to the relevant industries. Most of the electronic products in Taiwan, not only the processing products but the owned brand products, are transported to the EU market . That is why all the manufacturer would suffer the shock. Taking it in another way, the manufacturers and the exporters of IT products have to take the responsibility of collecting ,reproduction and recycling.Taiwan is the main centre of the processing IT products. The plants owning the famous brands are bound to demand the processing factories in Taiwan offering the products which are reaching the green standards. At present , the manufacturing industry in Taiwan has to face the pressure from the proposal of environment protection. Their spares and products have to be granted the examination and affirmation on environment protection, which will increase the production cost and the competition, bring new uncertainty to the development of the IT industry. The papers has gained the firsthand data through deeply fact-finding, applied with the SWOT method and analysed the green program of the electronic manufacturers to inquire into the motive of the manufacturer applying the green products, the operation structure, the administration to the suppliers and so forth. The purpose of the papers is to offer help to the manufacturers when producing and supplying the green products. |
