The Study Of Directive On The Restriction Of The Use Of Certain Hazardous Substances In Electrical And Electronic Equipment

Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, its core content is restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances. This directive has entered into force on 1 July 2006. Nearly 200 thousand output products are involved in this directive.This article is based on RoHS directive, involving in the recent development. The emphases include concentration restriction and exempt item and the implement and supervison of the directive. Japan and American interrelated law also introduced in this article. At the same time, Chinese interrelated law and standard and other are studied or introduced in details.This article focus on the key techniques of RoHS directive, include quality of hazardous substances and its use in electronic equipment, substitute material study and compliance declaration and measure technique and hazardous substance process managing system.In the end, this article stress on the strategy and step answering RoHS directive, and provide some case of control document for reference. Ecological design is also introduced to cope with RoHS directive and other environment protecting law.
