As the foundation of national economy, it is the iron and steel industry that brings not only a lot of wealth to the whole nation, but also a high consumption and the high energy consumption industry, which has brought serious pressure to the environment. Therefore, we must change the operation mode in the iron and steel industry, and circular economy paves a new way for the iron and steel industry to realize the sustainable development. This research takes the single iron and steel enterprise as the study object, constructs internal ecosystem with the system theory and circular economy methods, which enables the enterprise resources to make full cycle use in the interior, and finally reaches the goal of "little waste" or "no waste", realizing the unification of economic efficiency, social efficiency and environment benefit.This thesis mainly studies on the cycle mechanism of internal ecosystem in the iron and steel enterprise, using investigation analytic method, system analytic method and contrast analytic method. This paper is divided into six parts in the content system structure according to approach of "proposing questions, analyzing questions, solving problems":In the first part it points out that it is of great necessity to establish the internal ecosystem in view of international development tendency and the environment problem existing in iron and steel enterprise of our country, then it proposes the importance of researching on cycle mechanism of internal ecosystem in the iron and steel enterprise and the goal which we must achieve. The second part reviews the theories involved in cycle mechanism of internal ecosystem in the iron and steel enterprise and makes a brief introduction of their development in our country. Firstly we defines the internal ecosystem in this research, then dissertates the theories of sustainable development, circular economy, eco-industry and cleaner production, and differentiates the relationship of the related concepts. The third part mainly introduces the strut system establishment of cycle mechanism of internal ecosystem in the iron and steel enterprise. Firstly it points out that the internal ecosystem is a complex system and the internal ecosystem of iron and steel industry with its own characteristics. We must establish the strut system according to its characteristics in order to guarantee effective run of the cycle mechanism. The fourth part studies the cycle mechanism established on the characteristics of the iron and steel industry and clarifies three main circulations (matter and energy circulation, information feedback adjustment, LCA), and conceives the conceptual model on circulation pattern in iron and steel enterprise. The fifth part is an empirical research, a case study of Baosteel, with advanced management and technology in domestic. Above all it makes a brief introduction on Baosteel, and then makes a horizontal and vertical contrast on the characteristics of large-scale integrated iron and steel enterprises, finally points out the implementing effect of cycle mechanism. The sixth part makes summary and suggestions to the thesis viewpoints, indicates the limitations in the research and forecasts the parts need for further research.The innovations in this thesis mainly incarnates in the following two aspects:1. Research content innovation: This research proposes internal ecosystem concept based on system theory and its three strut systems (intensified management, technology innovation, and internal service).2. Research method innovation: Based on empirical research, this research proposes conceptual model and sums up the main variables which affect the enterprise development into four aspects: management, production, technology and information, and at last establishes the objective function according to the characteristics of internal ecosystem in iron and steel enterprise.
