A Study On The Present Situation And Countermeasure Of Agricultural Intellective Property In Guang Dong

As the rapid development of science and technology, we have entered knowledge-based economy ages. Knowledge and its various representing forms have become important impetus for the development of our society no matter in agriculture, industry or service. Respects and protection to intellective property is an important mark of science and technology civilization and general strength for a country. China is an agricultural country, thus 'prosper agriculture with science and technology' is a key strategy to develop economy, increase general strength and improve international status. Since the Sixteenth Congress of Communist Party, the central and local governments are raising agricultural investment, accelerating the progress of science and technology, and strengthening supports and protection to agriculture, including strengthening and consummating agricultural socialization service system, agricultural product market system and official supporting and protecting system. As a province of powerful economy and great agriculture, Guang Dong has been doing a lot of work in accelerating the progress of science and technology in agriculture and protection of agricultural intellectual property, and accumulating more and more experiences. However, Guang Dong is facing some challenges. Thus, it is worthwhile to explore how to apply intellective property system to protect agricultural intellective property, to enhance the competition power in agriculture, and to protect self fights and interests.In this thesis, based on the analysis on the intension and characters of agricultural intellective property, and its protection principles, in combining with the author's findings of investigation on agricultural intellective property in Guang Dong, the present situation of the agricultural intellective property protection and the main existing problems in Guang Dong were summarized and discussed. Additionally, some countermeasures and suggestions on agricultural intellective property were given, including creating funds of agricultural intellective property, establishing promoting policy, reinforcing propagandizing and popularization, consummating intellective property service system, establishing agricultural intellective property information center, developing active international communication and cooperation on agricultural intellective property. It aims at providing academic basis and consult for enacting the system of agricultural intellective property protection and further promoting the development in agricultural intellective property protection in Guang Dong and China.
