According to the new theory of economic growth, technological progress is a major factor in determining the long-term economic growth, and technology transfer is an important path of technological progress in developing countries, and international trade is the main channel for international technology transfer. Important system of intellectual property protection is an important factor affecting technology transfer arrangements and promote technological progress. In recent years, the proportion of products with intellectual property rights related to international trade, the increasing problems related to all aspects of intellectual property protection have become increasingly prominent. Many of the developed countries in order to maintain export competitiveness of domestic products, have to implement a series of intellectual property protection, the establishment of the "threshold" to protect their products. Therefore, in order to improve the export competitiveness of domestic products in recent years, China’s IPR protection has been strengthened. In terms of the agricultural sector has also strengthened intellectual property protection through legislation to protect agriculture, judicial protection and administrative protection. And in recent years, China’s total trade in agricultural products continues to increase trade from surplus into a deficit, and the deficit continued to increase in value.Theoretically, intellectual property protection is a double-edged sword, both export trade would have a beneficial effect, such as restrictions on trade in goods and local businesses imitation, improve product competitiveness. But there are some negative factors exist, such as the rise in corporate and social costs undermine the competitiveness of exports, reducing the size of the export market, trade and so on. Thus arises the following questions:First, what kind of impact that China will strengthen protection of intellectual property at the time of their agricultural trade? More good than harm, or more harm than good? Its impact be? Second, strengthen IPR protection against double impact on agricultural trade brought about by the Chinese government and enterprises should be how to deal with? How disadvantages into profit? Therefore, this article through the theory and regression models to study intellectual property protection and agricultural trade relations. This article will learn from the current domestic and foreign scholars on Chinese intellectual property rights protection is more accurate calculation methods, such as amendments to the index to measure the strength of IPR protection in China, and its regression analysis and agricultural trade. The study found:moderate strengthening of intellectual property in China can promote the overall increase in trade of agricultural products, there is a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between the two, and the long-run equilibrium in the short-run equilibrium system configuration is the ability to automatically adjust to the equilibrium state, with a strong reverse regulation. Granger causality test also reached China to strengthen intellectual property protection is one of the factors prompting the trade scale agricultural expansion. But between national intellectual property protection and agricultural trade is only a short-term one-way relationship, and only in the short term to strengthen IPR protection will promote the expansion of trade volume of agricultural products, agricultural products and increase the volume of trade is not to intellectual property protection affected.
