Practical Study Of Tourism Urbanization Driven By Tourism Resource

Tourism Urbanization, the product of social and economic development, is an inevitable social phenomenon accompanied by the ever-increasing development of tourism and urbanization. As one kind of pattern of urbanization, tourism urbanization phenomenon has appeared in developed Western countries since 1970s.Compared with the actual development of tourism urbanization, the theoretical research is relatively lagging behind and needs to be broadened and deepened. Nowadays many problems concerned with tourism urbanization need to be urgently solved, such as defining the connotation and denotation of tourism urbanization, establishing the conceptual system of tourism urbanization and analyzing the types, characters and evolution of tourism urbanization in China. Owning to the long history of urban development and its obvious geographical differences, China's tourism urbanization takes on a much more complicated phenomenon. Tourism urbanization plays an important part in developing the west, revitalizing the old industrial bases in Northeast China, and fulfilling the upsurge of the middle part of China.This article consists of 6 chapters.Chapter 1, General Introduction. This chapter mainly analyzes the background and significance of selecting the topic, proposes its own study methods and contents, and starts with a demarcation about the concepts of urbanization and tourism urbanization.Chapter 2, Reflection on the Research Progress of Tourism Urbanization. Based on the analysis of all the typical treatises available at home and abroad, this chapter gives a general introduction of the research on tourism urbanization in terms of its definition, type, character and influence. On the basis of further study on the status quote, the author points out that urbanization is the base of building a well-off society in an all-round way, and tourism urbanization as one mode of urbanization in turn paves the way for Chinese urbanization. Strengthening both the theoretical and empirical research on tourism urbanization is of great benefit to the healthy and constant development of China's urbanization.Chapter 3, Characteristics of Tourism Urbanization in Lijiang.On the basis of promoting the development of regional tourism, tourism urbanization in our country can be compartmentalized to three categories: driven by tourism resource, driven by economy and driven by multi-factor. Based on this, indicated the tourism urbanization in Lijiang is one of typical tourism urbanization driven by tourism resource. This chapter makes a depth analysis of tourism urbanization in Lijiang with fieldwork and questionnaire. Five characteristics have been summarized(:1)On city functions, Lijiang changes from industrial and commercial town to tourism city step by step;(2) On city spatial structure, Lijiang develops taking Da Yan ancient town as the centre of gravity assume the"fan"shape;(3) On urban construction land, the tourism land increased rapidly, large amount of urban green space is invaded and occupied;(4) With tourism having accelerated population urbanization process in Lijiang, tourism industry becomes main channel for residents to obtain employment in Lijiang city;(5) With the quick development of tourism industry, infrastructure construction has appeared to unconventional development in Lijiang.Chapter 4, Evolvement and Impetus Mechanism of Tourism Urbanization in Lijiang.Under great background that tourism development in China, the mechanism factors of tourism urbanization in Lijiang is composed of the resources comparative advantages of Lijiang, impetus by Yunnan Province and Lijiang government, participation of private economy and tourist consumption. And then, this chapter has described three stages of development of tourism urbanization in Lijiang: rudimentary sage, forming stage and development stage.Chapter 5, an Analysis of Beneficial and Interactive Model of Urbanization and Tourism in Lijiang. This chapter discusses some problems in tourism urbanization of Lijiang. At the end, based on humanism, aimed with governance and city sustainable development theories, this chapter tries to build beneficial and interactive model of urbanization and tourism in Lijiang, which could be consulted to enhance urban competitive power of Lijiang and other congeneric cities.Chapter 6, the Conclusion and Argumentation. The author summarizes the main conclusion and explores the main achievements of the thesis as well as work to be done for further improvement.
