The Chengdu water supply company (CWSC for short herein after) is a state-owned large scale enterprise , along with the setting up of 6th B factory - an important subsidiary company of CWSC , CWSC obtains the capacity of 1 million and 380 thousands tons of water production.But from 2001, because the adjustment of economic structure, the amount of consuming water of local market increase very slowly, eg. In 2004 the average day supplying water is 956900 tons , the most among the year is almost 1050000 per day, but the whole company of CWSC could provide 1380000 tons of water to the city, which means there is a big gap between the needs and the capacity of CWSC production, which result in deficit of 91980000RMB in 2003 and 86620000 RMB in 2004 of CWSC. Therefore how to develop the water supply potential increase the quantity of supplying water , reduce financial loss in business and get profit is important to CWSC.Under this economic circumstance, the article will use the classic theory and methods of Marketing to forecast the market of CWSC, find the opportunity and threaten of CWSC and finally obtain the effective strategy of market for CWSC after some marketing analysis such as SWOT analysis.First of all, we will increase the whole value of what our customer get while consuming our special product-water, such as product value, service value and so on, and reduce the time cost, physical cost while our customer consuming according to the theory of customer transferring value.Secondly, we obtain the strategy of improving high quality product and better service of CWSC after re-position of product. Thirdly, CWSC should take the dominating competing strategy to develop the market and get a more bigger share of market.Fourthly, for some important customer , CWSC should take some promotion to win against competitors.Finally, CWSC should do more communication with costumers to transmit is's values and ideals to get trust of it's customers.
