Petrifaction Industry refers to the exploration of petroleum and natural gas, oil refining, pipe transportation, sales of refining products etc. As a high-risk and mass-input vocation, it is influenced by multi-risks such as natural disaster, accidents, petroleum price fluctuations, market risks, international political and social risks. With the amplification, globalization and the applications of high technology, petroleum companies need a well-organized system to evaluate the investment and insurance risk. This system can help them to effectively avoid all the risks and decrease the accidents. Companies can wholly analysis their current situation and potential risks, classify all the risks exist and confirm all those vital risks. It can also help to evaluate the financial loss that would bring according to certain risks. By these data, companies can decide if their insurance is scientific, reasonable and economical. This thesis will review the process of the risk management development by using the theory of risk and management, analysis the high-risk investment in Petrifaction Corporation industry on the basis of company risks and other harmful elements. The maximum loss calculation of the Petrifaction Corporation insured capital, enumerated according to the typical production and storage devices, is got by using fault Tree Analysis, Dow's Fire and Explosion Index and etc. The principle and hypothesis for the build-up of the risk evaluation system mentioned in this thesis is based on the calculation. Also, this thesis will discuss the factors that influence the company insurance, offer the management mode for the risk and insurance, and give a visualization for the future of the Petrifaction Corporation investment.
