Clean Development Mechanism's Economy Meanings And Its Countermeasure Research

Clean Development Mechanism which is one of three agility mechanisms based on Kyoto Protocol, is mainly used in the carbon exchange between developed countries and developing countries. It has two goals: first is to help the developed countries to fulfill their commitment on Green House Gas emission reduction, second is to help the developing countries to expand their abilities on Sustainable Development. While the climate changes wildly nowadays, the emission reduction is becoming the most important agenda in front of every government. CDM suppose to combine the technical advantage of the developed countries and the abilities of farther emission reduction of the developing counties, in order to promote the emission reduction. This article mainly analyzed the running system of CDM. Also it presents the status quo of CDM in China. Based on international economy and trade theories, the article give opinions on the economy meaning of CDM.In the first chapter, the article introduced the content of the Kyoto Protocol and the CDM. It also contains the source and features of the CDM, and the effort made by the government the control the emission expanding. Chapter 2 analyzed the running theory of CDM. It introduces the datum line in CDM and the carbon market all over the global. Further more, it categorized the carbon trade world wide. In chapter 3, the author use international economy, trade theories and the environment economy ideas to gives opinions of economic meaning about CDM. Chapter 4 is about the status quo of CDM in China. It contains China's advantages in CDM system and problems in running. In the last Chapter, the author discusses the future about CDM.
