This article discusses the issue of performance management. Based on the understanding to this issue, it states how important performance management to the corporate strategy. The core is "people-oriented". The performance management process, from establishing objectives to obtaining feedback, management team should integrate all aspects of its own use of assessment methods to achieve the ultimate goal of enhancing corporate performance.The study investigated the performance management of Company A (hereinafter referred to the company). According to the in-depth research analysis of existing performance management system, this article figures out the problems which company's performance management system has and concrete improvements. The thesis includes six sections. The first section outlines the company's external environment and the necessity of performance management reform. The second section is the introduction of the company's background and relative performance management theories. The third section of the study is the problem analyzing section, it points out the importance of solving the performance management problems by analyzing the present situation of the company. The forth section is problem solving section, it states the direction of the performance management improvements which is building market value-oriented performance management system. The fifth section points out several key issues of performance management system implemented. It puts forward the conclusion of the investigation in the final section of the article.The study analyzes the theories, methods and execution processes of the performance management. From the practice of performance management, this article applies practical analysis method based on the present situation of the company. As an international transportation agency company, the current situation of the company in performance management is general and representative. How to establish and improve an effective performance management system? How to strengthen the performance in the company, departments and employees? The above questions are very important to lead the company to healthy development, and finally win competitive advantage.
