Printing companies provide service while produce printing products for customers. Along with the fierce competition, the printing service is very hard to differentiate in terms of product quality. One new product or technique is very easy to be copied. Under this circumstance, New Service Development will be a new profit margin for printing company. This thesis is aiming at analyzing the application of NSD models in small printing companies, and then generates a common NSD model for middle or small service companies.The thesis first introduces printing service history and brings out the problem, which printing industry affronted. The second part is about NSD theories, including two NSD management structure: Integrated NSD Model and"4 Dimension Model". Then based on the statue of quo of diagnosed companies, author generalized a NSD process that is applicable for middle or small printing companies, including service concept designing, service delivering system designing, service quality designing, service marketing designing and NSD performance measuring designing. Meanwhile, according to data analysis, the thesis demonstrates several service characteristics in middle or small printing companies, such as"B2B characters". Then the thesis generates a NSD model for middle or small size printing company. Using the model and the information collected from diagnosed companies, the thesis brings out some new service pattern, such as"self service". The practical signification of the thesis is based on the study of application analysis of NSD management in middle small printing company, generalizing common NSD method for similar service companies.
